Nick Knowles: "The bedrooms are spacious and well lit"

Our generous donation of LED lighting to DIY SOS The Big Build: Veterans Special 2015 has been featured in the Electrical Times Magazine.

The biggest DIY SOS Big Build commenced this summer and we were privileged to be approached by Nick Knowles and his team to become their sole lighting supplier. Hundreds of our Goodlight LED lights were specified and installed into the newly-restored, much-needed homes for the war veterans and their families, as well as in the creation of the Walking With The Wounded advice centre.

The two part series which aired in October 2015, was watched by millions across the country as we were introduced to veterans struggling to cope with the aftermath of war. The Big Build showed 7 derelict homes being transformed into 3 comfortable homes which aided disabled veterans.

 

 

On the first series of the show, during the ‘reveal’ of one of the new homes, Nick Knowles proudly said “the bedrooms are spacious and well lit” – which is a massive compliment to our award-winning LED lighting range. We are thrilled to have been part of DIY SOS The Big Build 2015 and look forward to working alongside Nick Knowles and the BBC team again.
