Our revolutionary new range of Vira UVC T8 Tubes utilise the latest Ultraviolet Light Technology (UVC) and are available as replacement tubes, with or without fixtures, and with microwave sensor functionality, for the ultimate safety in use. The Vira UVC T8 Tube uses short-wavelength of 254nm UVC light technology to deactivate and kill microorganisms by destroying the DNA that bonds them together.
Featuring 8 Way Protection, the Vira UVC T8 Tube range will disinfect and sanitise areas, rooms, spaces, surfaces and objects placed under the UVC light in 30 minutes. It has been tested to kill 99.98% of E.Coli and Staphylococcus albus, and 96% of H1N1 virus.
Built with safety in mind
Once the UVC light is switched on, a safety siren is sounded for 18 seconds, to ensure that anyone who could be inside the room has time to exit before the UVC light turns on.
The Vira UVC T8 Twin Tube is available with fixture, allowing the luminaires to be installed quickly. Featuring a built-in microwave sensor, the Vira automatically switches off the UVC light when presence is detected, for safety. The sensor can also automatically turn the UVC T8 Twin Tubes on 18 seconds after all occupants have left the room.

UVC light technology has been proven effective against Coronavirus Covid-19.
3-Way UVC System
The Vira UVC Safety System puts safety into the heart of its core, featuring a sophisticated 3-Way protection system, consisting of a Magnetic Door Switch, Admin Lock and Main Switch, you can secure and lock your room(s) safely and effectively, and control when a disinfection cycle should begin.
Once the Vira UVC T8 Tube lights have been installed into a room, they will not turn on until the UVC Safety System has been switched on. Once the room is empty, the Main Switch, installed into the same room as the UVC lights, needs to be set. Press the power ‘ON’ button and select your desired disinfection time – choose from 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes.
Safety at its core
Once the disinfection duration has been set, the room’s door must be closed, for safety. The Magnetic Door Switch is installed within the door frame (lock jamb), and is connected to the Main Switch and Admin Lock.
After the door has been closed, the Main Switch, installed outside of the room, must be locked with a key (supplied). Inside the room, a safety siren is sounded for 18 seconds, to ensure that anyone who could be inside the room has time to exit before the UVC lights turn on. After the safety siren has finished, the room is locked. The Main Switch’s display screen will preview the disinfection time you have selected and will start to countdown.
If the door is opened, or movement is detected during a disinfection cycle, the UVC lights will automatically turn off, for safety.
Disinfect all indoor spaces safely
Suitable for indoor environments only including industrial, manufacturing and production. The 3-Way UVC Safety System integrated with the Vira UVC T8 Tubes, which can be installed from 1m ceiling heights and should only be turned on during inoccupancy. It is recommended that UVC Tubes can be effectively used up to 3 times per day, at a duration of 30 minutes each time. We recommend that our Goodlight Vira UVC T8 Tubes are switched on prior to the start of a normal working day, and again at the end of the working day.
What is UVC Light Technology?
Short for Ultra Violet, UV is a type of light that is invisible to the human eye. There are three subcategories of UV light including UVA, UVB and UVC which produce different electronic radiation wavelengths, measured in nanometers (nm).
UVA : 315nm to 400nm UVB : 280nm to 315nm UVC : 100nm to 280nm
