Double irradiation intensity
Our revolutionary new range of Vira UVC T8 Tubes utilise the latest Ultraviolet Light Technology (UVC) and are available as replacement tubes, with or without fixtures, with microwave sensor functionality, for the ultimate safety in use. The Vira UVC T8 Tube uses short-wavelength UVC light technology of 254nm to deactivate and kill microorganisms by destroying the DNA that bonds them together.
Featuring 8 Way Protection, the Vira UVC T8 Tube range will disinfect and sanitise areas, rooms, spaces, surfaces and objects placed under the UVC light in 20 minutes. It has been tested to kill 99.98% of E.Coli and Staphyloccus albus, and 96% of H1N1 virus. The Vira features rotatable pins up to 90°, allowing the disinfection angle to be controlled for any room setting. More notably, the Vira’s lens surface is constructed from mirrored aluminium which doubles the germicidal irradiation intensity when in use.
Retrofittable disinfection solution
Once the UVC light is switched on, a safety siren is sounded for 18 seconds, to ensure that anyone who could be inside the room has time to exit before the UVC light turns on.
The Vira UVC T8 Tube is a retrofittable solution that can be installed quickly and effectively thanks to its built-in driver. Also featuring a built-in microwave sensor, the Vira automatically switches off the UVC light when presence is detected, for safety. The sensor can also automatically turn the UVC T8 Tubes on 18 seconds after all occupants have left the room.
Built-in Microwave Sensor with Safety Siren
The Vira UVC T8 Tube features a built-in microwave sensor that detects occupancy, for safety. When the UVC light is turned on, a warning sound can be heard for 18 seconds, alerting occupants to vacate the room. After 10 seconds, the UVC light will illuminate. If, however, presence is detected, the light will not turn on. If unexpected entry occurs once the UVC light is turned on, the light will detect and turn off.
Adjustable Disinfection Angle
The Vira’s pins can be adjusted and rotated from 0° to 90°, to suit your application.
Higher UVC Irradiation
The Vira’s lens is built using mirrored aluminium which acts as a reflector, doubling the intensity of the germicidal UVC light irradiation. Compared to other UVC tubes on the market, the Vira achieves a greater disinfection rate.
What is UVC Light Technology?
Short for Ultra Violet, UV is a type of light that is invisible to the human eye. There are three subcategories of UV light including UVA, UVB and UVC which produce different electronic radiation wavelengths, measured in nanometers (nm).
UVA : 315nm to 400nm UVB : 280nm to 315nm UVC : 100nm to 280nm
