Vira T8 UVC Tube (2ft) Description
The ultimate germicidal UVC T8 Tube that kills 99.9% of viruses, germs and bacteria.
Introducing the Goodlight™ Vira range of UVC disinfecting lamps and luminaires which incorporate ultraviolet light technology (UVC) to kill 99.9% of all viruses, germs, bacteria, mould, dust mites, pathogens, including E-coli and salmonella. UVC light technology has also been proven effective against Coronavirus Covid-19.
Our revolutionary new range of Vira UVC T8 Tubes utilise the latest Ultraviolet Light Technology and are available as replacement tubes, with or without fixtures and with microwave sensor functionality, for the ultimate safety in use. The Vira UVC T8 Tube uses short-wavelength of 254nm UVC Light Technology to deactivate and kill microorganisms by destroying the DNA that bonds them together.
Featuring 8 Way Protection, the Vira UVC T8 Tube range will disinfect and sanitise areas, rooms, spaces, surfaces and objects placed under the UVC light in 20 minutes. It has been tested to kill 99.98% of E.Coli and Staphylococcus albus, and 96% of H1N1 virus. The Vira features rotatable pins up to 90°, allowing the disinfection angle to be controlled for any room setting. More notably, the Vira’s lens surface is constructed from mirrored aluminium which doubles the germicidal irradiation intensity when in use.
Once the UVC light is switched on, a safety siren is sounded for 18 seconds, to ensure that anyone who could be inside the room has time to exit before the UVC light turns on.
The Vira UVC T8 Tube is a retrofittable solution that can be installed quickly and effectively thanks to its built-in driver. Also featuring a built-in microwave sensor, the Vira automatically switches off the UVC light when presence is detected, for safety. The sensor can also automatically turn the UVC T8 Tubes on 18 seconds afterer all occupants have le the room.
Suitable for indoor environments only including industrial, manufacturing and production. The Vira can be suspended, ceiling or wall mounted. UVC Tubes can be installed from 1m ceiling heights and should only be turned on during inoccupancy. It is recommended that UVC Tubes can be effectively used up to 3 times per day, at a duration of at least 20 minutes each time. We recommend that our Goodlight™ Vira UVC T8 Tubes are switched on prior to the start of a normal working day and again at the end of the working day.
PLEASE NOTE: People and animals should not be in the same room once UVC Lights are switched on. UVC Tubes should only be used when the room(s) is completely empty to avoid damage to the skin or exposure to radiation which is harmful. UVC light is invisible, UVA light (400nm) will illuminate purple to show that Vira UVC T8 Tube is working when switched to UVC mode.
