How do Plug and Play LED Tubes differ from normal LED Tubes?
Normal LED Tubes require ballast bypass in order to replace existing fluorescent tubes. However, with the new range of Plug and Play LED Tubes, there is no need to bypass any ballast (control gear) or rewire existing fittings. Simply plug, play and start saving with Goodlight LED!
Are Plug and Play LED Tubes instant fit?
Yes – our LED Tubes – both T5 and T8, retrofit into existing fixtures instantly. You do not need to bypass the ballast (control gear) or rewire.
What ballasts will the Goodlight Plug and Play LED Tubes work with?

What if my ballast is not compatible with Plug and Play LED Tubes?
If your existing ballast is not on our compatibility chart or not compatible at all, you can still use Plug and Play LED Tubes – simply wire to a direct mains connection.
If I do not have a ballast, can I still use Plug and Play LED Tubes?
Yes, you can still use Goodlight Plug and Play LED Tubes – just wire or connect straight to mains.

Can I install Plug and Play LED Tubes into batten fixtures?
Yes – Plug and Play LED Tubes can be installed into these fittings, provided you have checked that the existing ballast in the fitting is compatible. If so, you can swap out the old fluorescent tube with our Plug and Play LED Tube equivalent.
How do Plug and Play LED Tubes differ from other LED tubes on the market?

Can I use Plug and Play LED Tubes externally?
Goodlight Plug and Play LED Tubes are only safe to use externally if used within a suitable IP-rated, waterproof fixture. LED Tubes themselves are rated to IP20, and should not be used externally unless in a suitable fitting.
Are Plug and Play LED Tubes safe to use internally?
Yes – they are suitable for internal installation (IP20).
What IP Rating are the Plug and Play LED Tubes?
The Plug and Play LED Tubes are protected to IP20, suitable for indoor use. They can also be used externally if installed within a suitable IP-rated fixture.
What is the light output of these Plug and Play LED Tubes?
Goodlight Plug and Play LED T5 and T8 Tubes deliver up to 150Lm/W output.
Are Plug and Play LED Tubes suitable for use within my food production environment?
Goodlight Plug and Play LED T5 and T8 Tubes are ideal to install within food and drink environments as they feature a shatterproof cover and contain no glass.
Are the Plug and Play LED Tubes glass-free?
Goodlight Plug and Play LED Tubes are glass-free, making them suitable for sensitive environments, including food and drink production. They have a polycarbonate cover.

What is the lifespan of Plug and Play T5 and T8 LED Tubes?
Goodlight Plug and Play T5 and T8 LED Tubes have long lifespans of 50,000 hours – backed by a comprehensive 5 Year Guarantee.
What colour temperatures do Plug and Play LED Tubes come in?
Our Plug and Play LED Tubes are available in Daylight (6,000K to 6,500K), Natural (3,800K to 4,200K) and Warm (2,800K-3,200K).
Guarantee Questions
What guarantee is given on the Plug and Play LED Tubes?
Goodlight LED lamps and luminaires are designed with long lifetime in mind. The Plug and Play LED Tube (T8 and T5) range is covered by a 5 Year Guarantee.
How does the Goodlight Extended 5 Year Guarantee work?
The extended guarantee period for each product is 5 Years from the date of purchase. We will replace any of the faulty products that are found to be defected – totally fails or partially fails. This guarantee covers the replacement or repair of the product, but not any associated costs of installation, maintenance, transport, delivery or consequential loss.
Please note that Goodlight products need to be registered for a 5 Year Guarantee. If products are not registered in line with our terms and conditions, the products revert to a standard 2 Year Guarantee.

How do I register for the Extended 5 Year Guarantee?
To validate your 5 Year Guarantee, you must complete and return a ‘Proof of Guarantee’ form (which can be found in your product’s packaging) from your Goodlight representative within 90 days of purchase. We advise that you keep a copy for your records.
By Email – Send to us the completed Proof of Guarantee form to [email protected]. Once we have received the completed form, and providing that all details are correct, we will authorise the 5 Year Guarantee.
