Jaguar wins The Queen’s Enterprise Award

Congratulations to Jaguar Land Rover for winning the 2015 Queen’s Award For Enterprise in International Trade this week!

Jaguar have won the prestigious award simply by reducing their environmental impact of its products and operations. Dr. Ralf Speth was presented with the Award by Her Majesty, The Queen’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands, Mr. Paul Chandrasekharan Sabapathy CBE.

This is a fantastic achievement for Jaguar, who have won this Award 14 times since 1967, demonstrating that they are the leaders in reducing their environmental impact – internationally. The key factors of how Jaguar implemented the environmental change include aluminium vehicle engineering expertise, low-emission ‘ingenium’ engines and the reduction in operational energy, waste and water usage.

Their drive on recycled content and reduced environmental impacts have resulted in weight saving, higher fuel efficiency, lower emissions, improved crash safety and even better vehicle dynamics.

As part of an ongoing Jaguar Land Rover’s paint production plant in Solihull changed their fluorescent lighting to our LED lighting, resulting in an incredible saving of 500 tonnes of carbon a year and an annual saving of almost £150K in energy. The lux levels have improved from 554 to an impressive 1,500 – simply with Goodlight LED tubes.
