Abu Dhabi & Dubai ‘Green Seminars’

In May 2014, Goodlight‘s CEO, Waq Bhatti and Co-Founder, Saima Shafi, presented a series of successful ‘Goodlight Green Seminars’ in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The seminars focused on LED lighting as the solution to the upcoming ban of traditional light bulbs enforced by the UAE and on helping both existing and new buildings become more cost-effective and eco-friendly.

The ban takes affect from 1 July 2014 and will see incandescent light bulbs no longer available to both businesses and the public. By making this move, the region hopes to see a big improvement in energy and cost savings, pollution as well as tackling the issue of climate change.

The seminars were very well-received by over 350 organisations including government agencies, specifiers, system integrators, designers and architects.
