Throughout 2018, the lighting industry has seen a continued rise in the use of integrated lighting control systems and with rapid advancements in lighting technology, the use of wireless lighting control is becoming more prevalent.
An intelligent lighting control system delivers the correct amount of light where and when it is needed. When dimmed, LED lighting becomes more energy efficient and automated systems like daylight harvesting and occupancy sensors can turn on or dim lights according to changes in light, occupancy or the time of day. In addition to the obvious energy savings, an intelligent lighting system allows activation of an individual light or groups of lights from one device, sets lights to turn on and off, or dim at precise times and creates customised lighting for a specific task.
Wireless lighting control systems are designed to control lighting without the need for complex wiring systems and provide increased flexibility in the way an area of a building can be used. Instead of positioning switches and sensors where wiring permits, building operators can place controls where they are needed with ease to optimise lighting performance. A wireless connected system eliminates the disruption, cost and maintenance burden associated with hard-wired installations, whilst still allowing full control of the lighting system.
LED Eco Lights launched Light Boss, an innovative wireless lighting control system, controlled by Android App or web interface, with simple software, to set or adjust lighting requirements. A single light fixture or thousands, can be connected with no upper limit. Unlike other control systems, Light Boss can be installed into both old and new buildings offering full flexibility.
Lighting controls systems are an effective way to reduce energy and operating costs, and support ‘green’ initiatives. However, hard-wired systems can be very expensive and time consuming to install, particularly in existing buildings as retrofits. Until now. With a wireless smart lighting control system which is equally suitable for new builds and existing building stock, quick to install and easy to use or update, it’s no wonder that wireless technology continues to gain popularity with building owners, operators and system integrators.
